I plan on upgrading my brakes when i swap over my hubs. I guess i will be using the RS2 carrier. I am under the impression that the 996 brakes fit these carriers. I wont to get my brakes from Brembo, does anyone know which brake is actually used on the 996.

What is wrong with Porsche brakes, they are Brembos afterall.Originally posted by brinskanI plan on upgrading my brakes when i swap over my hubs. I guess i will be using the RS2 carrier. I know that. I can get my stuff directly through Brembo for a super discounted price. And as for running the Bilzcat system, I really like it, but after hanging out at brembo, I realized I want to run their floating hat and disc set up... It helps with heat transfer and dispersion.Originally posted by 90quattrocoupeWhat is wrong with Porsche brakes, they are Brembos afterall.Comment

Well if you hang out at Brembo, then they should be able to tell you which of there calipers is used on the 996/BoxsterS. Then you can let the rest of us know the answer to that question. This would allow persons on the forum to buy a Porsche caliper without have to buy the Porsche name.Originally posted by brinskanI know that. Please let us know.

Call me daft, but I'd rather have Brembo logos than Posche logos on my brakes. Actually I'd really prefer no external logos - just to help with the stealth factorOriginally posted by 90quattrocoupeWhat is wrong with Porsche brakes, they are Brembos afterall.

I agree with you Paul. Personally I rather see a thin film of brake dust than any logo.Originally posted by S2central.netCall me daft, but I'd rather have Brembo logos than Posche logos on my brakes. Actually I'd really prefer no external logos - just to help with the stealth factor
