HP2 pads: All iron vs iron/alu calipers. Pads same?

I am going to need pads for the 94 V8 Avant HP2s soon. These are the all iron HP2s. I am hoping that the pads from the iron/alu B5 S4s also work in the all iron calipers because NAmerica did not get any all iron HP2 calipers but we did get the iron/alu calipers on the B5 S4.

I did a search on "HP2 pads" but I didn't see a clear answer to my question.

No, they are not the same. I'm sure you can find "iron" pads from ebay.

Thanks. I was afraid of that. The issue with "eBay" is that the shipping to Canada from Europe or the UK will be as much as the pads.

vbmica from New Zealand has a 94 UrS4 with HP2s. He suggested EBC pads through Amazon (shipping might be less that an eBayer??). So say I went that route, there are like four EBC options including green, yellow and red. (PNs are like 21012, 31012 and 41012R). The red sounds too agressive (track capable).

        Any BTDT's???

Dave,I would say go for yellow EBC over red or green.
yellow has a better heat resistance than the red and green.
i have had yellow on the rear.it felt there's more initial bite.
iirc EBC has black(ultimax) as based, green, red, yellow.
i know there's a couple version of blue or elses but i never
tried them.i have ebc ultimax on the front cayenne calipers.
it's good for DD,silence, lot of dust but not good for high HP cars.
