Anyone have any? I have zero interest in doing it myself, as I would end up doing it again in a year's time, and I want it to last as long as possible. Does anyone know of a place that will do it and guarantee their work?
TIA!

How about this place £125 per pair though . Mind you could be a lot cheaper if you already have then off the car and stipped of seals and pistons as they include the removal and refitting
Leigh, thanks a lot for that.... They're already off and I'll have them apart and ready for blasting and painting, so maybe the price will go down. I'll check this out, thanks again!

yikes - £125 a pair. Think i paid about £6 for the paint and a decent prep/cleaner from halfords - mine are now a kind of grey/black colour and look far better than the original crappy browny/rusty/dusty colour they were.
Dremel with a brass brush or s/steel one will strip the kak from them then your ready to paint....
I'm reckoning they can flake about 20 times before i have spent that which will mean the car will have long gone
Granted the finish isnt the same but as they are only stock g60'sops:
Thanks for the info gents...can you give me a timeframe that they've lasted? Like I said, that's my main concern, I want them to last with minor cleaning here and there...

hmm, did mine about 6 months ago and they are still fine. I only bothered to put one coat on though so if you were to build up a couple or three layers then they should last ages.
I've even given them a going over with an alloy wheel brush and they seemed ok.
Did my first set of Monoblocks on my ur with the Hammerite smooth stuff 3 years later it's still there and it's still shiny, it was a bitch to infill the "quattro" logo though.
I stripped my RS2 calipers back to the metal where required and used Hammerite special metal primer, followed by a smooth Hammerite topcoat. As far as I can see it's all still there with absolutely no peeling. A damn sight cheaper than £125
I only rubbed the paint back where there was a few bubbles in the original paint. This was mostly around the fluid bleed nipples and corners of the caliper, where it had been knocked in transit.
I used a bit of fine wet and dry and a small brass brush, usually used on the kids shoes
Thanks Steve, that's what I was thinking...it looks like these calipers were re-painted or at least touched up so I'll see what's going on underneath the paint. I've also gotta clean up where they filed the casing down, I'm assuming for clearance for something.
David, I did the exact same thing...lol! Or how about when your wife goes to brush her teeth one night and finds it missing....and then after asking you have to tell her you borrowed it to clean car parts... (that's happened THREE times in my house...)

Hi i have used a paint i get from work which is basically liquid aluminium and silicone, it paints on easy after a good ol' clean up with a wire brush and emery and will dry without any brush marks, my workplace pay £60 for a tin (5L) and it is used to paint the steel casting segments which get mighty hot (600+Deg. C) The paint is guaranteed up to 650 deg.c and has been on my callipers for over a year now and they still look shiny silver.
If anyone wants a bottle full just giz a bell and i will send a 1/2 pint bottle full to you
cheers
Graham
