Porsche 6 pot calipers. Piston size orientation?

Hello. Which way should i put these calipers? On the Cayenne the calipers are on the front side of the suspension. And on the backside on the S2. So the easy quick way is just to swap the calipers left and right. But then the pistons are swaped in the rotational direction. Shoud i then swap the nipple and brake line? And why are the pistons different sizes anyway?

top should be the larger in the correct orientation from memory. They are sized to ensure even pad wear and to swap from leading to trailing, you can just flick the left caliper to the right side by changing the hardline and the bleed nipples over to achieve the right setup for trailing/leading.

large piston at top, small at bottom, switch around the bleed nipple / link pipe as required.

Small piston should lead as has been said to give even pad wear.
