    A8 rotor question?

Since it has what appears to be multiple holes in it, can it be used in a 4x108
setup? I remember somebody mentioned it came in 314x30 and 323x30, is that correct?

that dimensions of the disk are correct, however at the holes are configured for 5x112 i cant see anyway that they would fit a 4x108 as they would have to be more centralised compared to the others and they are def not.

Panzer, the Euro A8 rotor is umm 2x 5x112 pattern and there's no way to drill it to 4x108. The US A8 rotors are 312x25 and 1x 5x112, so they could be redrilled to 4x108, but one hole would be oval-shaped. This is generally alright because the rotors are held in place by the clamping force between the wheel and hub.

Is the offset the same on both these sizes of disc? I was just in PartCo looking at the two, and the 314's had a higher hat than the 323's.

Im in the same problem as above. As far I've noticed almost all 312x25 discs have 10 holes, not 5 . Have you seen these US A8 rotors by yourself ? with 5 (6) holes ? I mean I don't want oder brake discs, before someone confirms, that they have 5 (6) bolt pattern, not 10 like TT&Co has

            Hi,
Both the A8 rotors are exactly the same except for the diameter of the rotor. I did fit up for both.

The holes can be stick welded and then the center part lathed smooth and then 4x108 drilled. Someone might think that's not a very good idea, but it really would work with no problems. Just have to use the correct stick for cast.

That's the right idea! I managed to push my stupid ideas generator (I'm very good in stupid ideas ) up to sophisticated two piece asymetrical wheel spacer system, which would use fiat/lancia disks .

Now the question is american A8 rotor somehow special apart 5x112 bolt pattern. I mean from same size golf rotor ?

This is a 314x30 A8 rotor that was converted to 4x108. Drilled new holes and closed holes. The thing is the guy said he has only drilled 2 holes

Then he reduced it to 306mm

                    Cheers,

This is 5+1 hole rotor. Almost exactly what I need (I need something 25-28mm thick).
It is interesting where to get those.

It was custom made by a guy in Spain for his A80 Tdi avant.
You can do it with a 312x25mm rotor I think although he used a 314x30 and machined it to 306mm

I see a bracket in the background. That's the visual answer in my question.

BTW one hole seems to be slightly too near the center. But I think it doesn't matter.
