So what have you got against silver?
There are silver calipers. So as long as the first nine digits are the same as given previously, they will be 996 Carrera fronts which should be suitable.
If in doubt, post the part number.
Besides silver makes a nice change from the red. Also less desirable from the "bling" perspective, which means they should be cheaper!
Pretty sure others have used silver ones. Must be a pic somewhere.

I have nothing against silver, but I prefer black.
Any offers on a set of silver 996 monblocks?

Knew I'd put the info on here somewhere.......!

                    From THIS thread: (post #55)

'- if it helps, i'v had a quick measure of the RS2 brackets - Difficult to measure to the centre of a threaded hole, but from what I can tell,

the threaded holes are 24.7 mm from one face and
the clearance holes are 27.4 mm from the other face.'

Oh, and for reference, the SEAT bracket is approx

the threaded holes are 29.2 mm from one face and
the clearance holes are 32.3 mm from the other face.

Furthermore, (I *believe* the following measurements are the same on both brackets - I measured the SEAT version)

Non threaded holes are approx 94.0mm apart
Threaded holes are approx 130.0mm apart

All measurements taken from vernier calipers without any precision datums etc. Use the info at your own risk!
