Audi Rs3 Tt Rs brake kit

Anybody installed front brakes from rs3 or tt rs on our s2 cars? The calipers are not so heavy like ones from rs4 b7 and rotors are 380 mm.

I have read about problems with RS3 / TT-RS brakes, the dealers were replacing the entire set-up at some time, not sure of the reason.
So be careful as lots of used sets about could be these "faulty" items being sold off

the brake is crap. It has only two pistons !

      use Audi Q7/VW Touareg/Porsche Cayenne - Brambo 6 piston brake - ZR17 for 17 inch (330 mm) or ZR18 for 18 inch (345-350mm)

The calipers are Brembo with 4 pistons, and the rotors are 380 mm. The contact surface between pads and rotors is even bigger then rs4 8 pot calipers.

Is true that a lot of this kits were changed because of faulty functions. Some said that there is noise and some vibration on front setup.

actually what matters is the size of the brake disc not the amount or size of pistons in the caliper as proved on a v10 bmw m5!!!

ok if we get to the details

                1) size of the disc maters for temperature. The bigger the disc and has more metal to cool down while turning at the wheel
                2) size of the pistons is responsible for the amount of power that can be put to press the brake pad
                3) size and compound of the brake pad maters for withstanding the friction temperatures

Piston area and master cylinder piston area are important.

Bigger discs give more mechanical leverage, but more importantly I would have thought heat capacity/dissipation.

overall balance is important and the use.

too big wont be warm enough to stop at normal speeds. too big will weight a ton.

on the 6 pots id only have the gt2 due to weight. call me fussy

Very good, but a little bit to heavy for the front of the car.
