    Hydraulic pump screw seal

As a final kick in the nutts my Audi has blown the o ring under that big cross head screw on the steering/brake pump. If I recall they are a special O ring. Has anyone got the part number please?

026 145 541 gets you a seal and screw. They were quite cheap last time I bought one, knowing Audi they'll be about a millions pounds now

I always put some Loctite on the screw too, helps seal it up

Thanks everyone. I'll get one ordered. I got an or ing to fit to get me home as I was in the centre of town but it let go before I got home! MUST be a special seal?
Worst part is the mess it's made of my otherwise spanking engine bay!

It is special in the sense that the hydraulic fluid does not dissolve it like it does to lesser O-rings. Accept no substitutes.

            DIY here: http://forums.quattroworld.com/s4s6/msgs/274239.phtml

To remove (and then tighten the new one, or try tightening the old one first) you need a drag link socket, like the one shown here:

With the corners chamfered off, like this:

            94 UrS4 V8 6 spd manual avant
