Hey guys!
I know some people have fitted cayenne calipers on S2's with 345mm discs so Im wondering if anyone here may have some adapterplates made up for me to buy?
I don't think anyone on here has ever produced decent adapters for them. Perhaps Ultimot do them, however they won't be cheap.
All that's required to mount them with 350mm S5 disks is some 15mm x 40mm bar with the caliper and hub bolts correctly spaced. I have a drawing and CAD file somewhere if you know someone who's willing and able to knock some out.

I made a pair of brackets for my coupe, i belive i used 10mm flatt bar, i used mercedes discs. This was the 17z calipers but i belive the prinsipe is the same
I have made these brackets to work with 18Z calipers and 345X30 D2 S8 rotor (or 350X30 2piece) on B3/B4 bearing housings.
These were for running urS4/6 hubs (machined on the back for housing clearance) in the B3/B4 housings. Using these hubs is a reasonably priced way to convert US CQ/80/90 to 5 lug. So the bracket for S2 would be the same except for 5mm less offset. The urS4/6 hubs sit inboard by 5mm relative to stock CQ/S2 location.
This is the setup mounted on ur Quattro with B3 2 piece coilover suspension.
As I mentioned in another thread, the 17Z is preferred over the 18Z for more piston area (34/36/38 vs 30/34/38) and the mounting point location is better to create the bracket without overlapping hole patterns like the 18Z caliper forces you to do. They are also much cheaper…here you can get re-manufactured 17Z calipers for $300US/set. Just need to be painted/powdered and new crossover tubes.
If anyone is interested in something, shoot me a PM. I probably have what you need or something very close. These big calipers and big rotors are pretty heavy...I'm still a bigger fan of 4pots and 330s on B2/B3/B4...and prefer to run the 17Z/18Z on an already heavy beast like urS.
What is the max disk thickness that will fit an 18Z caliper?
Is it 34mm?
I was going to make brackets to suit SteveH's S5 disk setup but now wanting to use a Merc disk and need to know if 36mm is possible.
I have them available. It took me ages to have the correct measures but finally got them fit nicely. I'm using 17'' OZ Superleggera wheels but the wheel weights are now on outer side of rim because of tight clearance. I'm using 17Z pads so that they don't overhang and cover all the disk.
My set will include:
- aluminium mounts form PA12
- aluminium will be anodized silver
- full set of bolts 8.8 for fitting the brakes
- it will be ready for 345mm disc
- the brake will sit nice in the middle of the wheel
