Yes, to be honest it's just some old yellow paint I had left over from a previous job. I painted them white first to block out the red and to get the yellow to cover.

I've got a vinyl cutter as I cut stencils for airbrushing helmets hence just cut the Porsche logo and clear coated over the top.

      Cheers

      Darren.

Cool, I was wondering whether to paint or powdercoated, wasn't sure how the paint would hold up to the high temps. I guess they are just painted from the factory

They look great anyway mate, nice one

Thanks, the aluminium is such a good heat soak they don't get hot enough to cause a problem to the paint.

Well a guy with 996 calipers on his S2 managed to burn the paint off his calipers after only a couple laps on the TT circuit. Don't know what paint he had used though.

mine are painted silver. were yellow originally. mine came off a crash damaged gt2 racer. paid 600 for fronts and rears. sold rears for 350. so cost me 250 for the 6 pots. bargain.

think the red ones were on the gt3 option. afaik all 996 gt2 ceramic were yellow. could be wrong though.

yep there is a big gulf between pad types and cost.
