You want the 352 calipers for the rear rather than the 351 They're smaller pistons.

When you know what the extra hole is for you may be 1% qualified to modify your brakes. Sorry if this sounds harsh but I can only assume that if you do not know what this hole is for, you know nothing about brakes and how they work. Let along about weight transfer under heavy braking, brake bias etc.

As someone else wrote, you need to match master cylinder vol to that of calipers fitted on front and back.

I do not want to see you placing your life and those of your passengers at risk.

So my apologies for being a

That hole is used by the look of it just to secure a bracket on the rear calipers.
As I recall the GT3/TT rear caliper used larger diameter pistons than the stock 996 rear, as well as a larger disc with a width of 28mm. I don't think I have seen anybody tackle this before so cannot comment on their suitability. It also means no info on mounting offset for the caliper or indeed suitable discs.
I am taking you have read John B's thread with the stock 996 rear calipers?
Certaintly there are a few factors to consider but Porsche thought it was necessary to upgrade the 996. Whether its desirable to further upgrade over the std 996 for us is debatable until someone does it!

That hole is to mount a right angled bracket that retains the brake pipe flexi joint.
