    996 upgrade on RS2

    Hello =)

I have been reading threads about the 996 upgrade on the RS2, and it seems i need new brackets to get a perfect fit over the brake discs. i have asked some of the people who used to make them, but no luck. So i would be very greatfull if anyone could point me in the right direction as to who makes these brackets =)

Another question. What disc options do i have with the fitted 996 calipers on stock RS2 brackets? And what options do i have on Custom brackets?

yes, there was. But the person who made the brackets has stopped making them. I have the original ones on now, but what i need to know is what disc size will fit on stock

i was hoping on a solution where i dont need to modify the brackets

                        Hi,

I have GT3 monoblock callipers with Porsche 965 drilled & vented discs on mine, you need custom brackets. I got my brackets from VRS on this forum but I understand they were fabricated by Bainbridge, also on the forum. There is an upgrade on the rear too..

                        Here are the part numbers
                        BRAKES Front

                        996.351.430.10

                        Rear
                        Boxter S Rear Monoblock Callipers 996 352 421

                        Porsche 928 S4 Drilled & Ventilated 951 352 041 01

                        Pads 999 073 40201

                        Calliper Support Brackets Custom VRS

                        Handbrake Shoes 996 352 993 01/1

These fit under the standard RS2 wheels with no issues.

                        Hope this helps

                        Paul

                          Hello Christian88,
can you post the part number from your Brake caliper?
At the Porsche 996 you have some different discs and calipers.
One setup have 318x28mm disc. Another setups have 330x34mm discs and 350x34mm.

Hello, and sorry for a very late answer. The part number on tha caliper is 996352425. After removing some metal from the 4 pins i got it over the disc, but it still is about 0,5cm before it is center with the caliper bracket.

Maybe I'm missing something, but you want to go from the 993tt type to 996?
Am I confused about stock RS2s?
Anyhow Apikol sells brackets that may suit. They still list brackets on the site, but I can't comment on your specific application
