Just getting together all the bits for my Porsche 996 brake upgrade, Last thing on the list are new brake lines,

I know lots of you have done this conversion, please would someone let me know the best place to get SS brake line kits, or the sizes and lengths if they need to be made up

    Thanks in advance

I kinda cheated on mine, ive used the longer 2 braided lines in a Mk2 Golf kit for the front, they are slightly too long but are easily usable, no idea of the cost of the kit as my mate had a few of them laying around... GSF stock them so no doubt EuroCarParts and other places like that will too

          David,
Were they specific for the 996 calipers on the S2?
          Do you have a reference?
Would they fit onto an Avant?
          Thanks
          Bryan

The pipes I ordered were the same as the S2 and the coupe quattro 20V. the only difference is that you don't use the lower flexible on the front ( which saves money) but you need the RS2 solid pipes. The only problem is that they are too short as the RS2 used a different caliper ( modified 964)

Send me a pm if you want my phone number to talk it over. I need to make some 996 pipes for mine and could whip up a pair for you.

              Hi David
How much for some metal hoses to go from the strut, to my 968CS (ie. RS2) calpiers?

The RS2 metal pipes are about £12 from VAG parts. You can also use RS2 rear hoses 8a0 611 769. This is a flexi hose with a right angled pipe at one end for the caliper. This is what I used for 3 years with no problems on my previous S2 upgrade.
