S8 Brembo component part number help needed

    Hi guys,

Can someone with appropriate access find me the part number for the little safety clips fitted to these calipers? (2002 A8 S8 - D4)

There are spreaders with the 2 pins and a spring clip on one end of each pin - I'm missing 2 clips and want to order from Audi - would rather go with the part number of possible.

You can see them on the pins in the picture here: Linky

    Many thanks in advance

    Chris

I may have a spare set of these from my old S8 if that's any help

You can get the pin kit aftermarket - will dig out the part number when I get home

        Thanks Mike.

It's frustrating as I have both plates, all 4 pins but only 2 wire clips!

The part number is the 4D0 listed in the first link methinks!
I don't think the parts are available individually anyway so it would be better to try and source the spring clips from somewhere as it should be cheaper. If by spring clips you mean the part that goes through the pad pin to stop it falling out.

They are refered to as R clips and you just need to measure the thickness and length. Packets of 10 are @£4 on ebay for example.

They appear to be 1.6mm thick. Not too sure of the length as when fitted they are bent over the caliper. There are 25mm ones so I guess thats what they are. Good news as they are plenty cheap!

If you have an unbent one you should be able to get the length!
Not a very good pic but it does appear that when fitted the clips are bent over at 90 degrees.

split pins - you're right Nick, didn't really think of that

Thanks for the replies guys - I think R clips from the bay is the way to go (need to wait for the weekend to whip the front wheel off and have a measure up...)
