    Name this item...

OK. How do I begin this

I need help to know what the below item is... and how bad it is for it to have fallen off.

I was driving along. Car was pulling and driving brilliantly. So good actually that I had to make a comment to my mates.

Then, as I was driving, something fell on my foot from near the pedals. I picked it up and it was a white plastic thingy! Approx 2 inches in size. Then I found a silver spring thingy that fits over the white plastic thingy!

Help please guys, cuz I havent a clue what this thingy is

is the white plastic thing anything to do with the clutch pedal as there is a few white plastic thingys up there and springs if you look up by your pedal there should be two springs well 4 but one inside the other one and another pair of springs only looks like one spring though but id start checking there

It could possibly be the springs by the clutch pedal because thats were the "thingy" fell. I'll have a look tonight.

I'll take a picture tonight and post it up. If it is this spring, would it be OK to still drive the car?

id have said only problem being you may have to bend down to pull up your pedal of the floor worst case but hey if it is have fun putting them back they are a pain in the *** i found the best way was to crush them in a vice compress and put some heavy duty cable ties around them to stopp them oppening and once back from were they came cut the cable ties and pull them out this is how i did mine after fixing the clucth pedal

Oh man. I really need to learn to look after my own car. I'm practically paying my mechanics mortgage!

oooh the plastic thingie!! well that plastic thingie fell off the other plastic thingie where the spring thingie was holding the other plastic thingie in place. You should also find a metlal thingie next to the other plastic thingie and the spring fingie is close by. The thingie thingie is the thingie that ur thingie needs.

sorry i have no clue what im talking about.
