        Front Left 304mm:
        Audi: 8A0615301B
        Porsche: 928.351.043.60
        Sebro: 205199
        Pagid: 52614

        Front Right 304mm:
        Audi: 8A0615302B
        Porsche: 928.351.044.60
        Sebro: 205198
        Pagid: 52615

The Sebro and Pagid discs can be found for a quarter of the price of the Audi discs. I have just opted for Sebro.

The ventilation holes on the OE discs are cast, not drilled. Drilling while cheaper sets up the possibility of stress cracks around the holes. You get what you pay for.

My bad. I guess I've seen RS2's with drilled rotors and assumed that they were factory, not after market.

In general, I am quite sure that other OE Porsche rotors that are "drilled" are actually not drilled but have cast holes as suggested in my previous post.

The standard RS2 "little reds" have internally vented discs that have no holes in the face of the discs. The RS2 "big reds" from the upgrade kit are internally vented and also have holes in the face of the discs (agreed they are probably cast holes in the original Porsche "big red" discs but drilled holes from the likes of Zimmerman aftermarket). I only have experience of the RS2 "little reds".

That makes sense. The one RS2 local to me has the upgraded 322 x 32 5 x130 rotors and calipers. I am quite sure that they are "drilled". I see 7Zaps's description of the 322 rotors says the they are "punched". The description of the 304 rotors says nothing about "punched".

This is an example of a drilled rotor that failed during a track event. MIght have survived with a deeper champfer but I doubt it. Porsche rotors don't fail like that.

OEM "drilled" porsche rotors do crack with hard track use, as far as I know all "drilled" rotors will eventually crack with hard track use. I would have thought it was more to do with the quality/type of metal used and machining.

Just curious if there is any evidence to support that Porsche discs have holes cast in them? I know the argument has been floating about the internet for years, but still had no conclusion in the last thread I read.

I would just run dimpled/grooved if fancy discs are needed, or drilled and replaced as necessary. On a road only car its probably a moot point.

I have seen photos of the cast holes in OE Porsche rotors. No sure if I can find one and post it here or not. I will look.

Well , while searching for a photo of a Porsche rotor with cast holes, I found this photo of a supposed Porsche rotor ( don't see any chamfers at the holes so I really don't know what it is)

Sorry but they do crack often!

Porsche or other make, driled or cast, brake discs holes are stress inducers and crack sooner or later more or less but crack! In competition they are changed more often so not a problem but on the road after some heat cycles they tend to crack around the holes, probably porsche cast crack less but I´ve seen some with small cracks after just a few heat cycles but none completly cracked as above!

As stated above, the RS2 "little red" 304mm front discs are internally vented but do not have any holes in the face of the discs (no punched, drilled or cast holes). Nor do the RS2 "little red" 299mm rear discs. Does anyone know which company makes / companies make the Porsche discs? Presumably not Porsche itself but rather one or more companies that make brake discs to Porsche's specifications. If so, is it a company such as Sebro? Regarding the earlier "you get what you pay for" comment, as a general matter I agree. However, I don't think many Audi parts for the RS2 are priced at a fair level anymore. A Porsche branded brake disc with a Porsche part number is cheaper than the identical Porsche brake disc with an Audi part number - certainly for the RS2 when I was looking a few months ago. Leaving aside the problems that can be caused by holes in the faces of brake discs as demonstrated by the pictures in this thread, is there a difference between a Porsche branded brake disc and a Sebro branded brake disc of the same dimensions? I don't know the answer but it is conceivable that Audi charges more than Porsche and Porsche charges more than Sebro for essentially the same item. I would rather pay less for similar quality. I have read that some 993s are fitted with Sebro or Pagid discs and they are fine for road use. Not better than the Porsche branded brake discs but cheaper than the Porsche branded brake discs with Porsche part numbers and much cheaper than the Porsche brake discs with an Audi part number. Or this could be a load of nonsense.
