Hi Nervas, well spotted, they are big brakes, maybe someone will be tempted to try, the prices don't seem that high really.

          Far from cheap
I wonder what VAG parts wold charge for a full setup not mentioning custom caliper carriers that have to be machined to make these fit.

btw, iirc these calipers are identical to R8 and RS6 ones apart form the finish.

great comparison Bo...24kgs of extra unsprung weight must make a signficant difference to the handling of the car. Wonder if someone has done and mega scientific calculations about the optimum disc and caliper setup for the front and rear of an S2.

For example surely you can get away with a smaller disc as long as the width increases to aid cooling etc.

Afaik it's the same calipers as on RS4-b7 and RS6. I bought the RS4 b7 setup and swapped the centers on my discs to the phaeton centers.

RS4-b7 (left) vs Phaeton center (right)

                    Test with the phaeton center:

Oh btw... If you need carriers for them I can probably hook you up. Waiting for a prototype now. Will probably test them next week.
