It's known that one of the cheapest way to go brembos on the front of audi 80/S2 is sourcing a pair of BMW E38 calipers. Having rather incovenient for us mountings as con, calipers have such pros as reasonable "small" brake discs design and big 40/44 pistons, sharing the same diameters with MB 330mm and Audi S8D2 345mm brake systems.
Just sharing some pictures of my job.
I started mocking-up with A6(4F) 321mm brake disc:
Made an initial bracket mockup out of old caliper carrier:
Re-measured sizes:
Ordered brackets laser-cut out of 10mm steel:
It happened that I was lucky to source a set of suitable 316mm two-piece disks and I started minding them instead of solid ones.
Bracket sizes worked a treat for 316mm diameter too.
