    UrS4 avant brake conversion underway.

Ordered my new discs yesterday , 320x30x51 directionally vented from a Merc AMG SL600. Took a while to get the dimensions right, the ordinary Merc 320x30's have a much larger overall height of 82mm and would have hit the bottom of the strut legs.

I've got the Hispec monster 4's ready to wrap around the discs and only need to make the caliper brackets and get some brake lines rigged up. Need to wait and see if I need bigger wheels, standard 16x8 rims at the moment.

Once I've got this all built up I'll post pictures and give details to any other S4 drivers wanting to get rid of their horrible UFO's.

    Cheers,

    Graeme.

Good luck with this one. I tried the 330x32 discs on my S2 but the hat height was too high on those too.

One pronblem you will need to overcome is the centre spigot diameter on the hub being larger than the Audi item, you can make up a spigot ring to accomodate this.

From the measurements I took and the spec I got for the AMG discs, the hub centre is 68mm, the disc centre is 67mm so I'll actually be taking 1mm out of the disc centre to get it to fit the hub. I should have the discs on Monday or Tuesday, I'll check then.

        Cheers,

        Graeme.
