    Hi!,

Well you are obviously well laid back! At the end of the day it is fraudulent. Additionally you have paid £200 over the top for a set of 996 Carrera 2 calipers. And the worst bit is that despite the proof from the p/n's he still maintains they were off a GT3. Yeah, someone took the GT3 calipers off to fit smaller ones! Mmmm...! Perhaps they didn't like the colour.
Legally he is responsible for the description of the item. Clearly they are not as described. You wouldn't have any problems in taking action against him. Although I appreciate it is often more trouble than its worth. ****** Bandit!
On another note, please note that rear calipers are not necessarily suitable as a front fitment, due to their piston size. So do the right thing and advertise them as what they are.

I'm not in the habit of misadvertising or ripping people off... In fact I'm usually generous to a fault!

I think the price I paid was fair considering the alternatives. Maybe a little over the odds but they are in mint condition, and they fit what I already have... which is nice. Plus as said, I won't have any trouble selling the rear calipers, or my Alcons for that matter if I decide to keep the Brembos.

      Cheers for everyones input.

Carl - looks like it has all been said already...... and if they all just bolt straight up then all is well and good.
Just be aware that you might have got yourself lumbered with a set of rear calipers that don't necessarily attract much interest on the world of e-bay.

Was considering them for my corrado a few weeks back and so was watching this auction...... Boxster rears - starting price £100 - no bids...

                      Hi!,

                      Bloody horizontal you are mate!
Seriously, I wasn't implying that you would be dishonest in your description. Just annoys me that people blatantly misdescribe things and then pretend otherwise. I would have confronted him and waited for him to squirm. If he was as honest as you, he would do something about it.
Let's hope it all works out well in the end!

Maybe... but in honesty I never noticed the GT3 reference until after I'd won the auction. I do actually have the calipers I wanted.

I may have paid a little over the odds, but it's no biggie. Life's too short to worry over trivialities.

                        You're a long time dead.

                          I need help.

I have purchased GT3 rear calipers and i have some questions. I have a solution for the mounting brackets but :
                          1) Can i use the A8 314x30mm brake disc ? If not, which disc should i use.
                          2) Link <- All the stuff that i need to hook them up to my brake lines ?
                          3) All other suggestions are welcome.
                          Thank you (up front).

I found out that the factory disc for this caliper is 330X28 ... so i could use the A8 disc right ?

The GT3 rears mount exactly the same as the 996 fronts, but the pistons are smaller, but you will have a very firm pedal.
Some people like that, I think its dangerous as it affects the brake balance the ABS deals with it, but it's not right.
