Leaking PAS pump; what are my options?

Hi guys, my PAS pump has started pissing everywhere. New pump is quite expensive. I know seal kit can be bought from Audi, so that would be one solution.

What PN pump I have to use if I convert brakes to vacuum servo and get rid of the complicated system it has now?

    Tandem PS/PB pump info

Usually it just pisses from the X-plug

See Dave, that was my first idea too, but top of the pump is dry, no sign of fluid.

X-Plug is both on top & bottom.

I got a manufacturer refurbed pump. But I have the single stage pump, since I have vacuum brakes. Wasn't too expensive, around 100 euros.

Then it is most likely that the leakage is from the high pressure "J" hose from the PS/PB pump to the steering rack. PN 4A1422893Q (lhd) maybe 4A2422893M (rhd).

Item 12 (maybe 13 for rhd)

That's pretty cheap, I think that's the way to go. Like you say, while it's out might as well get the lot done.
