Just thought I would show my work in progress for fitting 345x30mm discs to 996 Carrera (996.351.425 & 426) calipers to my urS6.
It is NOT possible to fit this diameter disc to these calipers without either having the pad overhang the outer diameter or the caliper fouling the disc.
Solution that I came up with was to machine the outer diameter down to 340mm, this has allowed perfect pad contact and plenty of caliper/disc clearance.
I am fitting these within 8x17 Avus S6+ which have an ET40 so I should have no issue with clearance. (Will know more when I have the wheels in my sticky hands)
Oh and I have stripped the original finish off the calipers and machine "quattro" onto them instead of "Porsche" they will be being painted red with white script.
