    Porsche Brembo identification- help required!

    Hi guys,

My S4 B5 needs front discs and pads and I'm trying to figure out what it is I need to order.

When I bought the car I was told they were 17z's but when I measured the old discs, they are 320mm diameter and they fill the caliper!! They also look like separate bells and rotors...?

I can't seem to find any part numbers on the caliper....but I suspect they are 996's.

    Here's some pictures & diagrams.

    Any help much appreciated

    Cheers,
    Leigh

I would have said it was Movit kit but definately it has Porsche 993 calipers probably the 993TT aka the Big Red. The discs are also probably from the same vehicle and would have measured 322X32mm. Obviously the bells are vehicle specific.
Measure the amount of friction material depth.

This. I think you (lcsmith) know this already, but there is no way those are 17Z calipers. Those are much more angular compared to the much rounder and smoother big reds. As 'twoqu' mentions, these calipers look like the same 993TT big reds on a mates old modified S2. This thread might be helpful - 993TT calipers which look the same as your pics, and yes, unfortunately it looks like they used older thinner discs.
