Audi GT 1986 2.2 Kv ---> B4 Strut/arm with G60

Hi Guys

Dunno if someone here already made this :
Well i have parting out my B4 2.8 coupe AAH & wanna put my complete strut/arm from V6 AAH with G60 2pistons caliper to my Audi GT, is it possible ? if yes what i need to change/Keep ?

I guess i must use the front driveshaft from AAH B4 and put the flanges on the B2 gearbox ?

This has been done many times since the easiest way to have bigger brakes on a typ81, but I don't have the details in my head (I'll look in my archive later) driveshafst lengths of typ81 will be shorter than typ89 I guess.


btw: coupe is typ89 afaik, only limo is B4

I'm afraid your Coupe V6 FWD flanges will not fit into your Coupe GT gearbox.
There may be many options for that and i can definitely name one of them: source front shafts from simple 4-cyl B3/B4 saloon FWD or Quattro. Such ones are surely acceptable, and at my location it would be just the simplest and cheapest option: latest ones I bought from my neighbour breaker were 5eur pair.

Or stay with B2 shafts and use outer CV joints that fit onto them. 2.8 coupe, c4 2.0, 2.3 10v etc.
Count splines as your homework and rest will be easy.

And don't forget to check guide joint diameters from your wishbones.

Yes, if coupe GT shafts have 30 outer teeth.

If shafts have 25 outer teeth, rear B4 Quattro avant CV might fit.

I have done similar swap with B4 5cyl 2-piece struts. Problem is describing it in english words.
