Ive ordered new rear discs and pads today. Went for EBC turbo groove discs and EBC red stuff pads. According to proven products red stuff pads are recommended on the back too...
Wasnt a bad price either £118 inc delivery for the lot so im happy. Parts should be here on tue so get them fitted up the weekend after.
Dealer rear discs and pads are actually quite cheap, mine were replaced at the end of last year.
Drilled discs will have a shorter life - AP told me that cracks appear around the holes long before the disc itself is beyond good use. Hence their recommendation to use the grooved front discs on the standard kit, as long as you don't mind a bit more noise.

Yeah there not a bad price at all. I made sure I didnt get drilled discs for that reason. The EBC ones are grooved and dimpled, not drilled. As for the front I have a custom AP setup with 32mm thick discs instead of 28mm in the formula kit and im well happy with those.
I think the forum knows my views on x-drilled discs
I ran EBC Reds on front and back for a while, they stood up to track day abuse quite nicely, even got some colour in them! I gave my rear Reds to Lee actually as I got new discs and new pads on the rear so changed for Greens for no other reason than I felt like it.

Yep, you may remember I almost bought your calipers!
I'm going for the AP kit, hopefully everyone knows the price I can get by now...

Hi Greg
Can you tell me the ebc part number for the rear discs? I have 6 pot Porsche 996 GT3 Cup Brembos on the front with 362mm grooved AP Racing discs. I would like to upgrade the rears without braking (excuse the pun) the bank
EBC may be the way to go as an interim
Cheers
