I'm doing this on my UrS4 at the moment. The disc centre has to be taken out from 67 to 68mm to get it over the hub centre, also the 5 wheel bolt holes need taken out from 13 to 14mm to use the original wheel bolts. I'm using HiSpec monster 4 calipers instead of Porsche or Brembo's, mainly because they were available at the time.

94 UrS4 Avant, slowly modding as we go. Now gone replaced with:
2001 S6 Avant, V8 works for me!

Black Diamond KBD940 directionally vented grooved discs for Merc SL 600 AMG and HiSpec Monster 4 calipers. Discs are getting machined this week, then I need to get measuring for the caliper brackets.

I attached a picture but it hasn't shown up, back to the drawing board.
.I am just doing a similar conversion on a 100 and its worked out at around 500 quid, using 996 monoblocks.
ps anyone tell me why i cant see the pictures on the link in the first post?, there is a small square with 3 colours appearing in the top left hand corner where the pictures should be showing?
I am looking at having to replace front UFOs ,what is the cost of the MOD to Merc?
The cost of this modification is, for me : 884 euros with Two discs, 993 calipers,
new brakes pads.
And look at this picture , comparison of pad 996 and pad 993.
" 993tt pad left, 996tt pad right, the 996tt is allegedly a couple of percent bigger (78 sq. cm vs. 75 sq. cm) but when you place then face to face, my eyes told me the 993tt had a little more pad area (although the 996tt was taller). Either way, it's about a push."
