    Help with RS2 discs needed

Can anyone measure me the radius of the contact surface of the stock (non drilled) RS2 rear disks.

I would like to compara them with the drilled ones.
I suppose the same measure should be achived on the outside and inside of the discs but just in case it would also be great if someone check that.

    Thanks in advance.

Just did a quick measure without taking the wheel off and d = 55mm on the outside edge.

I hava a pair of rear drilled disks waiting to be fitted and d = 55mm on them too.

OEM RS2 rear brake discs standard and cross drilled are identical in size. I should know as my car has been off the road for 3 weeks getting rear wheel bearings, rear handbrake back plates(corroded away!), handbrake shoes. As the brakes were in pieces I decided to get the Big red upgrade via vagparts (thanks Alan). When it arrived business post had damaged a front disc. I visited the garage to check this and took a look at the car. I actually compared rear discs on the floor and they were identical in diameter.
I have kept the old discs so I could measure them but thrust me they are the same.

          Thanks,

I was kind of hoping the d was a bit less (1-2mm) difference between both. I going to have to machine 1-2mm of the inner part of the disc.

          Thanks for your help

Al, I'm working up to it.

I found some reasonably priced drilled rear disks which I bought in anticipation of eventually biting the bullet and forking out for big front disks and big callipers. I keep on think that if I wait long enough a cheap set will magically appear! (Hint, hint. Anyone? )

Only problem is that my rear callipers are corroding and making the usual noises, so I may have to get new ones, which will push the price up even more.

Then the nice new shiny brakes will make my wheels look like poo and I'll "have" to get them refinished, which will push the price up even more. And so on and so on.
