So did Porsche's Monoblocks, not trying to help the AP argument but the Porsche prices is a bit unfair as it is based on used calipers rather than the new AP items, but my money would always go for the Porsche Monoblock option everytime, are the AP's being fitted with dust seals yet? I never liked the thought of rebuilding them every year.

I have the AP "off the shelf" kit for the S2. It faded after 10 laps of knockhil running approx 320bhp and 350 lbft. It was using Mintex pads and AP told me to remove them and get the DS2500. They also asked to have the discs and bells sent back to them to check what damage teh overheating of the discs had done to them.

The AP kit is good - but the 6 pot APs and even bigger and fatter discs are noticeably better still.

The kit is now selling with the DS2500 pads, that's the standard stuff as listed.

At the moment I am still on stock front brakes, any upgrade will be laughably better than that!

Doug, isn't Knockhill a hard braking circuit anyway? At least one hairpin and I think the first corner is downhill braking after a long straight?

I wouldn't be surprised to hear that the 6 pots and wider discs are even better - but they're not available in kit form AFAIK.

I'll be getting the kit as originally planned, on my own by the look of things...
