  • 996 brakes fitted.

    Put the new brakes on last night;
    was quite straight forward apart
from v.tight bolts on strut and braklines.
    Didnt need to space anything.
Had to bend plates behind disc ,just catching
on one side and slightly bend pad retain spring.
    parts used
    RS2 brackets
    black 996 monoblocks
    323mm A8 disks
    RS2 hard brake lines
    porsche caliper bolts
    S2 bolts cut down
    castrol Responce dot4
    Textar porsche pads
They feel much more responsive but still need
bedding in think they will improve.
thanks BRY for the parts and your time.

Enough of these 996 brakes anyway. I'm still waiting to fit mine.

Some friendly guy from Up North let me have them, for a very reasonable price too.
I just can't wait to try them.
