Got my hand on a set of RS2 front seats for my S2 Avant. These seats are electrical and I wonder where I can steal power to them.
Can I use the cigarette "thing" (ahh good english)?
I wouldn't use the cigarette lighter as the circuit is not rated for the hefty seat motors. Factory fit they are connected directly to the battery via thermal fuses. This way they work all the time instead f needing the ignition on.
If I ever get round to hacking my RS4 seats up so they fit I will be taking a feed straight from the battery to them.

the best intentions are fraught with disappointment - gil grissom
