Hood Will Not Open

When I pull the latch for the hood from the cabin it does not do anything. I have to take out the grill from outside (I can because is RS2 Grill), Then I test it without the grill and it works. Put the grill back, close everything and it wont work again.

What can it be???

First time I fit the grill it worked ok.

Those give me ideas on how to open the bonnet without dismantling the grill, but i openend before and system works ok without grill, with grill on place it just wont release any of the side opening mechanism, bonnet stays complete closed.

And i do not why???

Is it fouling the cable/cable release ? I would need to go look at mine to be certain

I bet the plastic bracket on the upright of the slam panel catches the back/mesh of the RS2 grill. It did this on mine a month or so ago and confused the hell out of me.

Correct I solved it using some tape, SuperGlue and a piece of a box (carton) so the bracket slips throw the mesh
