My clock keeps loosing hours

My dash clock keeps loosing hours, I re-set it yesterday before setting off all around the country to get some calipers and leather, thought nothing of it.
Just got in it tonight to check if the speakers were still working, having changed the door cards in the rear and the clock has lost 6 and a half hours.
WTF?
Anyone else had this / know what to check ?

Bry ! I had this on my previous coupe. Mine was not an easy fix because the clocks have to come out and be taken apart.
Follow Paul's guide on S2central on dismantling clocks.
The glass LCD has very tiny tracks on it's reverse that mate with other tracks in it's holder. Mine had dust on them, so gave them a clean. It seems like the dust must have stopped the current intermittantly. My clocks would be fine for a day or two, then I'd notice it had lost 4/5/6 hours at a time, bugged the hell out of me.
