    Coupe Window Motor !

    Guys,

Have been having problems with my drivers side window, it basically worked when it wanted to. The motor spins when out of the unit, but is very noisey, & vibes a lot. I have read your BTDT's, but need to know if :

    A) anyone can get me the part No. for the motor from the family album, if it is available. Knowing the stealer, I probably need to buy a whole new door, complete with glass, door panel, etc, etc.

    B) what sort of grease you would use in the assembly.

PS the door panel is a PITA to get off, looking on the bright side, I now know how its done

its not too bad m8....... right ... u have to find out if its the motor or the regulator....
The motor is the actual mechanism and case shown above... the regulator is the plastic part which bolts on( consists of cables and plastic rotor piece - this comes pregeased no worry about grease)
motor itself costs about £160 not too sure... the regulator costs about £60-70

-- i changed the regulator on mine .... cause the "plastic rotor" in pic above wore away... messing the function up...
check ur cables are ok and their respective fastenings.... cause plastics over time fail... if was a crunch sound... could have been ur cables
