Mounting chip in aby

I have bought a chip for ebay for my S2 ABY. After opening the switchboard not where each one goes. Someone podria to help myself with photos or aexplicaciones? Thank you very much.

I belive you need your chip modified you can plug in ur new ebay chip, something to do with silicone or some other substance thats hard to get hold of... Im not too sure I wasnt paying attention at the time. The main point being is that no one with a S2 would trust a chip from ebay. Im sure your aware how much damage can be done with a bad chip ($$$$).

I think what the peeps in above posts are trying to say is.. sell that chip back to ebay and depending where you are (cant see location in ur profile) get a proper company to chip the car for you. I think thats the best advice isnt it lads and gals ?

you can put the chips in either side of the board,it just wont start if they are the wrong way round,simply swap them round,there is a small indent in each chip at the end,take note which way they face before removing the old chips

Hi Andoni,

I am no expert so cannot give you the answer that you want (i.e. which chips are good or bad) but from spending many months reading the posings of the experts on here, I would suggest that they are ALL a gamble...therefore not worth the risk.

As Ski said...Go to a well known Audi tuner and get them to 'chip' your car for you, or tell us where you live and maybe someone can help you locate a local tuner who is known to be good.

I have never seen anyone on here have a good word for 'over the counter' or even worse eBay chips. I get the impression that eBay is the VERY LAST place that you should buy this type of thing from, as a badly programmed chip could cause some very expensive damage....so my advise would be DON'T FIT IT !!!! None of the recommended Audi tuners sell on eBay, so what does that tell you?

I live in The basque country in spain. But there am does not to matter that it is to distant to tuner. Tell me to good ones.

If you want to send me the chips I can try to verify if they come from the source they claim. I will of course return them to you unmodified.

Alternatively I can supply my own chips for the ABY engine if you like. Nothing like as cheap as these ones from eBay but lots of guys on the forum use them happily.
