SOmething is amiss though - I cannot line up schematics to my CC loom here and make sense of it back to this http://www.s2central.net/S2_Schemati...tic_Primer.pdf

I remember finding a funny a few weeks back on cruise wiring but I cannot find details of it - drat.

You know where the green plug goes in the auxiliary panel OK - as per T10c and Page 12 of this - http://www.s2central.net/S2_Schemati...tic_Primer.pdf
The blue plug that is supposed to connect to the loom in the car. I found the brake light and VSS wires, not having any luck with the power feed. Where is the fused side of S12 in the birds nest?

Not with you on the green plug

      Cheers,

      Mark.

Ahhhhhhh - that photo is priceless. Now I get it....

Of course my loom & CC are from older USA model so that explains some oddballs....

FUsed side of S12 is used already - seen at T26a/16 on track 2 on http://www.s2central.net/S2_Schematics/B/B68.PDF

I need to look at US cruise diagram to retain my sanity.

OK - sanity restored....... Remembered the trick now - B68 is wrong schematic... Should be B08 as the cruise wiring is different on cars equipped with headlight beam control - go figure. I'll upload the right drawing later. Makes more sense now... T5f is the blue plug on the aux panel - which lines up with my primer. Phew.

So is mine, came from a US spec CQ20v. Its identical to the kit i installed in the CQ.

The fuse S12, black/blue wire. Can you tell me where to splice it in as i cant figure out the bottom of the fusebox. i.e. which connector/wire? I think you mentioned somewhere its shared with the reversing lights.

            Thanks,

            Mark.

Here is D08 for now... (not B08)... The wiring colours almost line up perfectly with US based schematic but not quite. I'll upload that in a jiffy.

That black/blue wire is on south side of Fuse 12 - see track 2 where you can splice in and also track 26 at the headlight adjuster switch where you can access the same signal.

To complicate matters further - the Cruise loom I have is from an automatic US model - well according to Bentley anyway... My loom has a sticker 893 971 425 C and date of 16.07.90

This loom conveniently has a 3-pin plug that connectorises black/blue (S12), red/black (S3 and brake switch) and blue/white (VSS) - but I cannot yet track that to ABY... I like the challenge though

Exactly, my CQ20v had a blue plug for it to connect into, the ABY Avant does not. Hence the above fun and games of splicing wires.

Found the black/blue at the back of the headlight adjuster and spliced in. Its a very thin wire so i'll poke around tomorrow in the day light and see what its like at the cluster. I would have expected heavier gauge wiring to supply the pump.

                              Thanks again

Yeah well that makes sense at least - the US 7A loom is plug compatible with UK 7A... The cruise loom is different on 3B and ABY S2 applications. I'll have a look at other cruise schematics to see if this is cleaned up anywhere - would be neat to connectorise an adapter for that blue 3-pin plug.
