    HID question

do they produce significantly more heat than a run of the mill H4 bulb? i'm going to be getting a retrofit system for B3 euros but am considering going a bit further later on.

what i want to do is get a proper projector as well and modify the stock NA spec B3 housings. the problem is that i need a clear lense in front of the projector or i'm wasting my time. i would prefer to smooth the inside of the lense but i don;t know how to go about it nor is there a local shop capable of doing so. that leaves me with using a plastic lense. the question obviously becomes, will it melt?

    thanks for the help

    Hi,
If anything, they will generate less heat as they consume less power than the original halogen bulbs.

The man is right - more light, less heat and less amps required !

thank you very much for the info!!! was really trying to avoid the B4 hood conversion for RS2 projectors! (too much $$$)

one last question: when the projector is used, the reflector is pretty much useless right? ie: i don't need to worry about bulb placement as one does with regular halogen bulbs right?

found on net, you must chose from D2-R or D2-S bulbs type... one of them are for projector kind.
