You can change the style the forum displays by selecting your preferred style at the bottom left of the site.
We have made an enhancement so that old threads should now link from search results to the correct thread. This is not yet in place for single post links
The fan to the windshield demister doesn't get 12 v. The fan works fine, I have tested that. I also have 12 v across the fuse and the fuse is intact. I have a open circuit somewhere between the fuse and the fan. Trying to trace the wiring back there is hell so I thought I would ask.
Can anybody tell me if the 12 v to the fan goes via the ignition switch. Could the switch itself be the problem?
What about the resistor pack? Have you inspected that?
It's located behind the glovebox. If thats broken you will get no power to the fan as it has a thermal fuse within it. (which can be replaced on it's own)
