Keyless entry and audi 90 rear door handles....

Well I have one of these on my face:

Long story short. When I bought this coupe the right side passenger door handle was torn off. It was broken into and the sheet metal of the door was a mess.

The previous owner was going to flush the door handles out and had "poppers" installed. This is an actuator that alarm controled that opens the door for you.

I thought about it but in Rhode Island I found out it was manditory to have door handles for safety concerns.

So instead of installing the coupe door handles with the locks I had the body shop install audi 90 sedan rear door handles. These are slightly smaller and the body shop welded on more metal where the gap was and repaired the broken passenger door.

I am happy to say after some time reading my Viper alarm now unlocks and locks the door handles via keyless entry.

I haven't completely figured out the alarm out yet but it's certainly getting there and hopefully by the end of tomorrow the interior of my coupe will be back together.

I can't say enough how nice it is to have heat! I am in short sleeves in the garage and it's 26 degrees outside.

    Cheers
    Josh
I chose not to choose life: I chose something else. And the reasons? There are no reasons. Who need reasons when you've got quattro?
