    boarscomputer bottons not working???

during a long drive today i discovered that my boardcomputer suddenly doesent react when the buttons on the wiper stick is pushed.

Sometimes it will however change the display but it takes a lot of pressing buttons.

Thinking that i may need a replacement wiper stick/arm in order to fix this or what?

The up arrow feels a little fishy, not as firm as normal, down arrow feels normal, neither works though.

Had a small problem with the single stroke action on the wiper, the wipers moved extremely slowly, in normal interval mode there were no problems, but wiper action is ok for now

        been messing with it again.

it will change the display sometimes if you press alot of times in quick succesion, and at other times it will work perfectly normal, however only for a very short time

Most of the time nothing happens at all.

tried to move the stick back and forth, up and down while pressing the buttons, to check if theres a bad connection at the steering colum, but this seems to have no effect.

So ive reached the conclusion, that the small up/down switch is at fault, and there must be a bad connection inside the small switch.

have not taken it apart yet, not even sure if its possible, otherwise i have to start looking for a new complete stick on ebay or something.

Two weeks ago a spark plug cable snapped completely, big £££, got the cambelt, all aux belts, waterpump, tensioner, thermostat, climate condenser and some other stuff changed last week, and now this.

Bank account is draining fast still need to find some guy to recharge the climate system also

Anyway small stuff i guess , otherwise car runs GREAT , actually seem to pull a little harder with the new cam belt , or maybe that´s just my imagination wanting some value for my money, but it seems to come on boost at a little lower RPM than before, and to pull harder, perhaps the old belt was a tooth off

is that possible on these engines
