rs2 headlight query

hi guys, i got rs2 headlights for my 80 quattro, they work fine but i cant get the lo-beams on when i switch on the hi-beam?! could it be a relay? the old lights were h4/h1 bulbs.

thanks, i tried the diode trick before but it got so hot that it started to melt the wires! is that plug under the dash?

Check out the HID thread by Fat Audio 80 it's a wiring problem.

It should point you in the right direction.

It's better that lo-beam is not on when on hi-beam. The "bright" light right in front of the car disturbes your eyes and you don't see as good far ahead.
