How to open ECU for chip change?

Could someone please go through this for the RS2? Any pictures please?

I spent ages trying to get one apart before, have the got the metal cover off yet? The difficult part is the top board, if you look at the connector the top row of pins is a part of the board so you have to prise the clips on each side and push the board in to remove it from the connector. There is a piccy of the connector here,

Would I need to solder in the chip or are there sockets already?
