    dodgy brake light - RS2

I have a dodgy brake light, shown intermittently by the autocheck.

Bulb looks fine, ie both filaments intact, bulb holder looks ok too.

    Anywhere to start fault diagnosis?

    Cheers

Check earthing in the rear light clusters... and to the rear light warning system. Have you replaced all brake bulbs - maybe you have a marginal/rusty connector in the cluster ?

Thanks Paul, i'll give it a go

I may just replace the bulb and bulb holder anyway, but i've not checked the earths yet. Where is the earth to the rear light warning system?

        Right, think i've sorted it

Replaced with a new bulb, problem still there, ie no brake light NSR. However, the tail/brake light were somehow switched round, so tailight was brake light strength, if you know what i mean

Took bulb out, reseated and all ok - are there two ways the 380 bulb can be fitted?
