    Central lockin problem

The central locking on my 3B has stopped working on the key and by remotley when I activate the alarm.
When I lock the passenger door I can hear the boot and petrol cap locking but not the doors.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks
    Nick

Might be the Vacuum pipes have become disconnected perhaps?
Also check the connections to the door locks as there is a 2 pin connector on both locks i believe.

I have this problem intermittantly. I suspect mine is a loose connection in the alarm/central locking wiring. I normally give the panel above the pedals a boot, and that fixes it for a while.
I keep meaning to look into it, but that Thatcham approved wiring looks a right mess.

I think the switch in your drivers door is faulty or the connections to it. This would explain your problem.

Yes. That's the same as mine. It's a PITA having to walk around to the passenger side to lock the car. Luckily it doesn't seem to happen very often ATM.

Its looking as though it's the pump - can I swap it with the passenger side to double check?

              Cheers

hoping this comes out in correct space if not please can someone put it right

if the servo at door is at fault.(drivers)............depending on age etc of car is different to passengers..............on car worked on recently.......drivers door sevo had a plug with 3 wies on it......pasengers had two............i dont know if this the norm............(should get those of a breakers yard.........).......or other car breakers.....fleabay

the idea if you bang underdash panel and it works.....could be a chaft wire(s)...between door and dash panel wiring...common problem on salloons(audi 80)inside the door bellows....constant opening closing door damages wiring( audi 80/90 has same problem with boot lid lights....etc)

if you remove door panel see part number....or enquire at agents...etc.........maybe someone here can supply you with something

                hoping this helps

                  Thanks for the help guys.
I had to take the car to my local auto electrician who tracked it down to a loose wire going in to a group of fuses under the dash and I also had him tidy up the wiring from the sh#te alarm installation.

                  Thanks again
