I am lucky enough to have Tom Tom on my iPaq, and have the cradle and in car kit.
However, with the 12v socket so far from the dash, it is difficult to use.
Anyone else encountered this issue, and if so how did you solve it?
Cheers
Kris

It might not be a 5 pot or an S2... but at least I have a 20v Turbo in my life again.
With my current S2 I stick the cradle to the ash tray lid with the suction stem and have the PDA in front of the headunit.
Seems to work well for me.
In my last S2, I wired in the cradle's permanant 12v wire and had it coming out of the airvent by the drivers door. I then had the cradle clipped to the vent itself.
Yeah, I was thinking along similar lines to routing it via the airvent, but putting it in front of the VDO guages might be an option. The only problem is the wire routing so close to the gearstick.
I think it will have to be a custom solution.
Anyone got pictures of what they have done, I need inspiration!
