    Central locking kit fitting problem

Hi, having some problems fitting a central locking keyfob kit (as my car doesnt have a keyfob central locking). The diagram in the kit is fitting it to an avant, but I have a '96 S2 coupe! Anyone have an idea how to fit it?

    What kit is it?
Have you found your C/L pump? (It's behind the drivers side rear quarter pannel inside.)
Is it a plug and play or a soldering job?

hello mate. wat u need to do 1st is take off the undertray on the drivers side and take off the kick panel. then where the loom comes in from the door into the car u need to find a wire that is green/red or green/blue. if uve got a multimeter test the wire and see if the voltage changes when u lock and unlock the car. most audi 80's and 90's are them wires. then from ur diagram it will show u that u have to cut the wire and connect 1 wire from ur module to the pump side and 1 wire from ur module to the lock side. hope that helps if not pm me ill try and help u more.

On the coupe there is a connector behind the quarter panel trim in the back on passenger side that the unit plugs into

Yes it says its plug and play... So does that make what you said (S4 CRUISER) obsolete? Hopefully its as easy as Greg_S says!

Fitting time for Avant - 5 mins
Fitting time for Coupe - 5 Hours!

Another reason why Avants are better than Coupes.

Basically to take the drivers side panel off. Lower one side of the seat. Use an allen key to undo the seat stop. flip the side bolster forward and lift it off.

Undo the screw hidden behind it.

Where the seat belt goes in by the tweeter on the back lift the black plastic runner for the seat belt up and undo the scre there too.

remove the rear seat by undoing the two screws and lift out.

take the kick panel off the sill by unscrewing one screw under the passenger seat

Undo the screw on the door pillar at window height.

Lift up and off the side panel taking care of the speaker wires

                              un clip speaker wires.

Plug in central locking kit and programme as per instructions.

Re fit all the bits that were taken off in reverse order
