Today my s2 is in the garge, having new belts all round!. my head lights are crap says my friend. The refletors are dead and the guy that had the car before me has played with them. Theses some really heavy duty wire running across the front bumper,

Can some one please translate this please?

You cant use them, they are for Left hand drive cars only.

Re-Lights

I had my lights profesionally recoated (google - Vacuum Metalising) by a firm just off the M25. It cost me £90 for the pair, much cheaper than buying new units, as Audi do not sell the later type S2 reflectors on thier own.

I will dig the number out.

I suspect those wires are for relays to run higher wattage bulbs, which might explain why the coating on your lights are fukced. I would rip it all out, buy the HID kit and elipsoidal lamps (if you can afford it) and start again.

Nothing compares to the Extreme HID kit from VAGparts....
