Headlight upgrade help.....!

I used to get this very intermittently. My speedo would also freeze at a certain speed. I remember flying up the motorway thinking this must be faster than the 80 the speedo was showing. I gave the top of the dash a thump and the needle jumped up 50mph!

I thought it was peeling paint so I replaced the speedo, but it didn't make a difference. Might be the speed sender unit on the gearbox.

I never got to the bottom of the problem, but there's plenty of others out there who have reported similar issues. Someone must have fixed it by now.

well, my speedo is not sticking, and its not a wire problem as they work fine, only up untill i switched my HID lights on and the speedo bounced back down and up again (only happened to me once).

because i was doing WOT at the time and the amount of power needed by HID maybe power shortage?

I doubt it, HIDs use significantly less power than conventional lamps.
