My friend has VAG-COM and OBD connecting equipment model "Jeff Noxon" using optocouplers. It has added connectors for the "old style" OBD connectors as in S2's.
The problem is that it doesn't work with my S2 at all. It works fine with his A6 '96 (also using the separate connectors, not OBD II). It has also been used succesfully with newer OBD II cars with no problems.
Car feeds 12v continous to the black connector and it also shows in the OBD equipment. Software reports that it's unable to connect.
And the situation is all the same with my other pal's S2. Both cars are '91 3Bs so probably the problems is not in the car(s).
Laptop used has W2k sp3 installed.
Any ideas?
