Magnecor Ignition wires? Who uses them?

How good are they? Which one is better to use? The 7mm or 8mm?

I was going to use them but heard bad reports about their application on the 20v I5. I believe they may have a problem with the rubber boot on the spark plug end breaking down under high temps. Not sure if this is true, but it put me off. The Beru OE leads are good, but expensive. Tom (Audiman) has used a lead set from the 7A, this is much cheaper and as far as I know works fine.

I've got a set, had them for about two years running on my 3B, I had a noticeable improvement in economy when fitted them. Will try and examine the boots over the next few days and let you know

I've got the black 7mm Magnecors fitted on mine. I've had no problems at all (3B type basically), and of course they fit nicely under the spark plug cover, due to the O.E. sizing. Not sure if the 8mm would fit as neatly but I imagine they probably would be ok.

I've got the 8mm ones on other cars in the family (a couple of V8's) and they work a treat. One of the best leads out there I'd say.

One thing I would say is to use the clips that the Magnecor leads come with, rather than the original ones. This is due to the original hard plastic clips sometimes cutting through the insulation.

Yep the 8mm fit fine , the only issue I had was the coil to distributor cap lead was too long but not a real issue. They cured my slight misfire and improved my fuel economy
