Central Locking Broken.Need Manual Release Info for fuel filler cap PLEASE!!ASAP!

    ok guys.
Heres the story. I drove the car back from work today after having it sat for 2 weeks while I was abraod on holiday (not part of the problem though)

Basically. It was nearly 100 degrees~ outside (or felt it!!)
I parked up at the shop. Went in. CAme out 3 mins later and the car dorve ok then started to judder on the hill about 20 metres away (going up it)...and it felt like running out of fuel

The gauge was on a 1/4 and had been for a while but Ive not done many miles so it could be real....OR....sticking and I actually ran out of fuel!!!
Anyway. Tried starting her. Turned over fine. Caught then died 1 second later.....

I cant hear the fuel pump on pre ignition position (though road nearby is busy so I cant hear too clearly) and I have a nasty feeling it may be the fuel pump..

BUT// My Central Locking stopped working on all doors just before I went away and I havent had chance to fix it...

I CANT GET THE FILLER CAP OFF WITHOUT BREAKING IT!!!! OR CUTTING THE LINE THAT LOCKS IT SHUT

and i really want to top up the fuel just to be sure!!!

Does anyone know if there is a manual release for the fuel cap and if so where is it please?!!!!!!!

My car is stranded in unfamiliar territory (not a dodgy road though luckily) till I sort this one so all info appreciated.
Also...any good sources for Bosch motorsport fuel pump and anyone know how much the stock 3b one is?? (only if it does turn out to be this of course)

    Cheers

Assuming it's the typical vacuum/pressure based system... pull the rear seat base. There should be green vacuum lines with rubber connectors on them running on the floor. These are for the central locking system. If you can get a portable air tank (or some other source of pressurized air), pull one of the green hoses apart (or cut and splice with a piece of rubber hose when you're done) and apply pressure to the rearward line. This should unlock the hatch and fuel filler. If it doesn't unlock the fuel filler, try applying pressure to the forward line.

Pressure = unlock, vacuum = lock.

I bought a parts car and it only had the 'valet' key, which wouldn't unlock the trunk, and the car had no battery. Thats how I figured that trick out. Just used it this weekend to open the rear doors on a 90q parts car... pulled the vacuum line out from the trunk decklid, applied pressure, and bingo.

There is also a manual release for the filler cap - behind the trim panel in the boot... which you can get into with a key.
